Improving Our World

From the outset, we knew when we were putting our business plan together that we wanted to be working toward something greater... Something bigger than ourselves, our family, or our year-end report. We always knew our firm... our MISSION... was going to be a central part of our endeavor no matter what.

It wasn't long into the process of building our business when we were made aware of a start-up, little orphanage doing big things in faraway Africa. The idea of being part of something so amazing and at the ground floor was very energizing to us and we jumped in with both feet.

That little orphanage, The Lord’s House of Hope, operates within arm's reach of one of the largest slums in the world—Kibera—and nearly all of the children come from conditions of extreme poverty. By providing access to healthcare, a loving and supportive environment, a healthy diet and an emphasis on quality education, these kids are raised to know that God the Father cherishes them, to believe in themselves and in their ability to make the world around them a better place.

Through the orphanage, we discovered an even further-reaching travesty: the lack of access to education. As a result, we founded Mission Education, a non-profit charity helping children whose families can’t afford to send them to school. By partnering with social workers in Kenya and generous donors here, Mission Education is changing lives and family trees all over eastern Nairobi.
